Plank (Forearm plank)

MediumCore

The plank strengthens your whole core along with the shoulders and glutes. Quality matters more than time: a 20-second plank with good form beats a sagging 2-minute one.

How to do Plank

  1. Place your forearms on the floor with elbows directly under your shoulders.
  2. Step your feet back, hip-width apart, toes tucked.
  3. Make a straight line from your head to your heels.
  4. Squeeze your glutes and draw your belly button lightly toward your spine.
  5. Press the floor away so your upper back doesn't sink between your shoulders.
  6. Breathe steadily and hold for 20 to 60 seconds.
